The Pocket Knife
What is bushcraft?  It is making useful items from the things you find in the forest and the swiss army pocket knife is fully capable of doing just that.  It has a small blade that can be use for whittling and carving, an awl for making holes and a saw for working wood into smaller pieces. It is a “woodcrafting toolbox” in a very small package.  The Alox and the Walnut scales on the Victorinox provide a durable and attractive finish that gives it a “classic” appearance.    

The Belt Knife
The quintessential bushcraft knife is a medium-size knife with a fixed blade.  It has a relatively sharp 90 degree spine that can used to scrape a ferrocium rod or create fine shavings for tinder.  The carbon or high-quality stainless steel blade with a Scandinavian grind is suitable for carving and splitting wood and is easy to maintain.  The primary task of a bushcraft knife is processing wood to make such things as feathers sticks, pot hangers, shelters, … and you will find many knives in this collection that will be able to perform those task admirably.
